I AM SLOVENIAN Dr. Viktor Murnik
The exhibition I Am Slovenian – And Who Is Greater?! was created to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Viktor Murnik, a pioneer of Slovenian physical culture and one of the key reformers of the Slovenian Sokol movement.
A particular focus of the project was the creation of a space that goes beyond a traditional museum environment. Its visual language and exhibition elements evoke the atmosphere of a gymnasium, connecting original objects, archival material, and graphic content with elements that encourage visitors to explore the exhibition actively.
The fabrication and installation required precise execution of exhibition furniture, display cases, graphic surfaces, structural elements, and didactic solutions, all carefully adapted to both the content and the space.
The result is an exhibition in which scenography is not merely a backdrop to the story, but an active part of it — bringing the heritage of Slovenian physical culture closer to visitors through content, design, and experience.
